Hair Cult opened in 1988, when owner Laurie Michelson envisioned a space to experience beauty and wellness with a hip and positive vibe. The salon was a pioneer in the area of wellness, beauty and environmental consciousness by becoming the first Aveda Concept Salon to debut in Hoboken in 1989. Hair Cult expanded its services in 1999 to include Marma Day Spa, an Aveda Concept Spa offering signature massages, facials and body wraps.

Dedicating over 25 years to passionately connecting beauty, wellness and deep concern and care for the environment—the team at Hair Cult strive to deliver impeccable service to guests.
